I went to pre-buy the deluxe edtion and it says ntsc? I'm in the UK and we have pal here. Will this be available in pal format too as I don't think my dvd player is region free? Does anyone know if it will come out in pal too?
I'm sure I've bought pal from 10c before....?

I've bought a bunch of NTSC format DVD's and they work fine for me in Sweden, as long as the disc itself is regionfree, so you shouldn't have a problem with it

There's a difference between regions and NTSC/PAL thing. Pretty sure it is stated somewhere that the DVD is not region coded, so it will play in any dvd player. However, it is (probably only) NTSC. In NZ (and prety sure UK too) most modern TVs are capable of both NTSC or PAL, if not some DVD players can convert. If all else fails (i.e. TV is PAL only, DVD player won't convert) it will probably come out black and white and funny looking, but that is unlikely these days.

The above link is to mke your player region-free (most can), but you don't need region-free since it's R0, and as bazzer said, most likely your TV will play it (99.99% certain if it's LCD/Plasma) and the vast majority of players can convert at least to PAL 60 if it doesn't (you might want to check your manual to see how you change setup).

I thought it is all about the region. Here we can have a problem to play dvd. I've heard that people in Europe, who bought dvds in USA can not play them home, because of the region codes
Not 10c member? Have sth to say? write to me - I'll put it on the forum

This is not true. DVD-ROMs as a rule come with region encoding, and sometimes the OS will do it too. There are workarounds, but they are not needed in this instance because the region encoding will not be a problem. Maybe that's what you meant? PAL/NTSC will be OK on your computer.

Hoenstly, I wuoldn't worry, I'm sure your equipment will handle it fine!
