So, what about all the talk of this being the best SB ever? I think last year would have an argument. As would Rams/Titans.
Also I think it is funny that everyone talked about the Steeler defense. Sure, they got a defensive score. But otherwise the Cardinals shredded that defense. It came down to the mediocre Steeler offense beating the mediocre Cardianl defense.
The Cards had one big quarter and that was after the Steelers decided to be more aggressive in the fourth. Going into the 4th Fitzgerald had one catch for 12 yards and the Cards had 179 yards of offense.

All true but Warner still ended up with 377 yards passing and 3 TDs and 1 INT. If you had told everyone that would be his line, I bet most would have taken the Cards to win.
I don't watch the Steelers a lot but it seems like they always win the game on the last drive or two. Do they ever win in a blowout? Except against the Brown and Bengals?

does it matter...? a win is a win...
No it doesn't. And I actually meant that as a compliment. They have a knack for sticking around and staying in the game and then winning it in the 4th quarter.

Won't be able to tell until some time passes ... but, the Cards overcame a 13 point lead with 11 minutes left, including getting a safety to get the ball back, only to see it disappear with 35 seconds left. If it wasn't for the refs being so heavily involved, I would call that pretty damn close.
Superbowl XIII, Steelers 35, Cowboys 31 ... XXIII, SF over Cincy ... both get consideration often...
I'm partial to the Pats victories .... Pats over the Rams was soooo sweet, its MY favorite, but I understand it's not the best ever in a lot of people's minds. The game against the Panthers was exciting for a lot of people, I think that's at least in the discussion for best ever ... top 3 or so.

It's like what Coach Tomlin said, we don't win with style points and flash. We play 60 minutes of mentally tough football and that's how we win games.

ah, gotcha...
yeah, it does seem they always hang around until the end...
I'm glad the Steelers won because now I won't have to hear my wife complain about folding the Super Bowl champion shirts for nothing. She works at a Macy's store near Pittsburgh and spent most of her day at work Friday folding them. The store had the shirts 2 days before the game was even played, but didn't start selling them until Sunday night when they re-opened after the game was over so people could get the championship shirts right away.
