Help burning files for PJ fans!

This really belongs in the technical help, but I know it won't get the attention there. But, it is PJ related! I have great files of "legal" PJ d/l's that I am trying to burn for fans. All of a sudden Nero won't recognize the disc in my cdr drive. I've had this trouble before and always worked around it, but now it really won't recognize it at all. Do I need a new drive or are there any fixes? Thanks. :) btw I've also tried other burning methods and none seem to work, which leads me to believe it is my drive.

    Are you using a different band of disc? Some brands don't work for various burners.

    Best bet, try restarting your PC. See if that does the trick.
    If not, try updating the firmware/driver for the burner.

    None of that works, I would strongly .. I mean STRONGLY recommend throwing it out the window!!!

    I'm not using any different discs. Same as I always have. I've used Nero for ever! This problem has been escalating, where it won't recognize the disc. I've tried re-booting and tried other burners, so I have to assume that the drive is dead. :( After your post I tried looking into updating Nero, but didn't have much luck with that. Assuming I need a new drive, would you suggest where I get one or what kind? Thanks. :)

    If you're looking for a new burner, I would recommend anything by LG!
