Is this allowed for PJ concerts?

OK, if ten club uses senority seating again and lets say you have to pick up your tickets at will call with an id, can they then sell their tickets? For example, if i pay someone that has a low ten club # to get tickets for me, lets say they would rather have the money than the show, can I just give them money for their tickets like lets say in the parking lot? If so, I would rather pay a PJ fan 200-400 bucks for great seats instead of going to places like stub-hub or 333seat. Either way I know Im going to have to pay some serious loot but I'm willing to do it. My 200+ number only gets average to poor seats. Honestly, not worth using ten club unless they change policy. If anyone wants to make some serious loot, keep me in mind when they come through the midwest next time!

I'm not sure if its allowed but I'm damn sure that it happens and usually for a lot less than the prices you are thinking.

MOST 10 clubbers, if they HAVE an extra will not sell them for more than face and in most cases they just give them to friends. Atleast the ones I know wouldnt..

Have you been to a show using your number? My number is not much better than yours. I usually get wing seats on Mike's side in the first 10 rows or so. They are great and really close to the stage!!! I would rather be there than on the floor cause I don't want to have to worry about seeing over people. That is unless I am in the first few rows.

Face value is usually the standard protocol...

I usually go to shows alone and have great seats, so I advertise my extra on here and sell it for face when we meet up at the show. I've never sold mine for more than that and it's nothing wrong with it because it's not scalping.

Before you go blowing huge amounts of cash on closer seats, why not try to offer a pair of tickets for trade?

Some 10C members who have been to many shows might be willing to trade back a few rows at no extra cost.

I've sold mine at face value to people on this board. Strangers who I may never meet again were able to be in front row or 2nd row thanks to me :D

There's no doubt in my mind that 10c'ers scalp. Just remember the $2,000/pair of tickets VIC fiasco. The sale was only open to 10cers and a couple sold one of each of their tickets on eBay for $1,000/piece.

earlier that you join the fan club the lower number you get, lower number = better seats. :)
Wouldn't it be funny if the world ended in 2010, with lots of fire?

  • I was lucky enough once to have a fellow 10clubber sell me his Verona ones below face and send him a poster!! He rocks!! He know who he is so I won't name him but very, very cool of him!!! He couldn't make it and I wanted 10c for that show. He had a great number but to be honest I never asked what it was and when he told me after we set up the deal well it was pretty nice :D

It is frowned upon but I know people must do it. I myself if I had a great number would rather be able to share it with another fan but c'est la vie!!

You actually had to start another thread about "your issue" with seniority?... this couldn't have been kept on the same one you started about how much seniority sucks?.....

... well sucks for you because for the some of us who joined early on works just fine...

That is what I was thinking. There is a lot of complaining on this board today. Sheeesh.

    generally resale is prohibited

but the 10cer has to take someone, so it could be you
but resale for more than face value is strictly prohibited

more than once i have offered up my extra single to the board here, at cost

more than once i have taken a great friend who is not a fanclub member but has seen probably 20shows, at cost

more than once i have taken a friend who is not a PJ fan and said "check this band out", at cost

more than once i have taken someone who knows about the band and needs to see them again, at cost

more than once i have given my ticket away for free to a friend

if you pay more than cost for any concert ticket u r a loser

    next question please

Too bad you have not paid your dues religiously for about 15 years. If you did..you would be a fan with a really low 10C # and really great seats to seated shows. Oh well....Be nice to people on here and maybe you will end up being a certain fan with a better seat.

    And so it goes...

Am I allowed to walk down the street gunning people down? you know... since we are asking stupid questions. Amen. I'm very happy with the current system and the bennies of being a registered fan for 15 years. Would never scalp my 10C tix and risk being banned. Some day, young Padawan, you too will have seniority and then you'll think it's pretty cool.

And the scuttlebutt about that couple with the $2K pair for the Vic was that the 10C headed them off at the pass. Can't confirm that, just a rumor. Hope it's true.

    Peace,

You're in Europe. Seniority doesn't matter even a tiny bit in GA shows. Early entry with 10c basically means you'll be at around 8th row at worst in seated terms.

well hopefully a pj ammer will be willing to part with their really good seats for my average seats. I know people say they only charge face value but I dont mind paying extra to help outa a brother!

okay.. i dont have a problem with the seniority policy... i dont get the best seats cuz i have a high number... but so what.. i'm in the building and i'm rocking.. thats really what matters to me. i mean it'd be amazing to be first few rows... but whatever... just shut up and fucking rock out... its kind of pathetic the way people bitch about seats when it should be really all about the music.

I'm not even in the 10 Club, so in my totally non-biased, doesn't affect me in any way view....I think the seniority thing is bogus. I've been a fan since 91-92...whatever....but I don't think just because someone started liking them last year they're a lesser fan than me. Some 12 year old kid might have discovered Pearl Jam in 2004 and be more into them now than some schmo that joined the 10c in the early 90's, but will NEVER sit closer than that schmo. I don't care how you look at it...it isn't very fair. I'm not bitching...I'm the kind of guy that doesn't care if I'm in the first or last row...as long as I'm in the same room hearing the same music as everybody else, I'm fine. I don't think seniority should mean SHIT...except you have more RECORDS than everybody else...

And if you think all 10 club members are so righteous, and don't *scalp* tickets....LOL at you.

Did you use your number during the last tour?

I'm 220xxx and I was very happy with how close my number got me at times last tour. I joined in 2000 and can't wait to see how much closer I get next time. Actually just get me inside the venue and I'm cool. You should be happy with what you got. Cause you do have a good/decent number. I know a few people that wouldn't mind your number over theres.

Sorry Speedy I had a great time at the Cincy show on Mike's side on the wing. :D
