    That was rumored years ago, but I guess after whittling down tracks for the 'record company' (if there's one at all), might just be a regular album, 12-13 tracks, but who knows!

    Even 12-13 new songs is awesome...I'm just happy to hear that the new album will be out this summer!!

    did he mention anything about the direction of the album, e.g. sound etc.. ?

    Uh, no mention of a tour with PJ. Just an appearance in Seattle in May with his Hendrix Tribute band Shadow 86.

    I wonder if o'brien used the same tactic as with the new bruce record, only doing 7 or 8 takes to try and capture the intense live energy on the record. I think that would work since pearl jam's shows are so epic.
