To make a long story short.....when the guys break down in the middle of the song and simply "jam" I completely go into a trance! I think its magic how they just "play" I have heard several versons last 3,4,5 and more minutes each just jamming away. I ahve also heard these "jam" sessions in other songs pj sings like better man, you hear, the shades go down....then they start jamming for several minutes. Does anyone have any versions of these songs that last a long time? I would love to have a copy to listen to on road trips. Would someone possibly burn me a cd that has these extended songs? It could even have several versions o f RVM as long as it "jams" in the middle for a while. I will gladly pay you for the cd, the shipping, and your time. I can send paypal money immediately. Anyone out there able to help? thanks!

I have no clue what "You Hear" is. I don't....think that's...a song? Is it? Huh?

The shades go down is clearly "Daughter"...but...You..Hear?

you hear was a typo......sorry, I didnt delete it when I went back. Yes, any song that they improvise and just start playing. "jamming"
  • Basically almost any version of Porch, Crazy Mary, Even Flow, Black, Daughter, RVM and others have a quality jam session.

My two favorites (probably because I saw them live) were Crazy Mary and Porch from East Rutherford '06 (Continental Airline Arena).

    Hi there!

I can suggest a few, but you have to search them in the download/share-threads (2000/2003 have been restored for page 1 and 190/191, 2005/2006 can be found in an extra-thread).

There has been a thread where the best versions have been discussed but I can't find it anymore, and one that was suggested there was Camden 06

    "RVM":
    Atlantic City 05
Grand Rapids 06, both are about 10 minutes

Zurich 2000 (long? found in my notes - check it out)
    San Francisco II 06
    Nashville 03
    Pittsburgh 03
    Oklahoma 03

but almost all versions since 2003 are very long, especially the ones from 2006 - with a few exceptions (for example Berlin 06).

Since it's been mentioned - "Porch":

    Atlanta I 94
    Holmdel 03
    Albany 06
    Las Vegas 03

as far as I know the boots.

Speaking of "trance-like-states" - check out the "Improv" from Nagoya 03.

    Enjoy!

I find it extremely amazing how they just "jam". It sounds incredible!
  • During the 2000 and 2003 shows. RVM was my bathroom break song. Now I stay for it. :D
