I was hoping we'd see them get on Coachella wagon this year. Well, didn't happen. This kinda makes me think that we won't be seeing a new album before the Summer either :(

Man I really had a good feeling they would be there...Also since they have never played Coachella and comming out a new record it just made too much sense they would be! i'm so bummed...

I'm not suprised they arnt there, I mean they did Lolla in 07 and Bonaroo in 08, which they were not supporting any albums, 07 they did two shows I believe.. both in chicago, lolla and vic. Then the short 08 tour was more or less what they did when they toured Canada in 05. Just to shake off the rust a bit and get "game" ready for recording the new album. So hopefully no Festivals equals good news I think!

i love Pearl Jam, but i think they are too commercial for Coachella. i just read the list of bands and i can't seem them fitting into a festival like that.

too commercial? I think if your booked to play one of the 3 biggest festivals in the states your all ready a little too commercial... just a thought 8-)

I would not read too much into it. Working on a new albulm and they played a bunch of festivals in 2007 and one last year. I would rather them do their own tour anyway once the new albulm is out.

I'm sorry but have you not seen the headliners? How are Macca, Killers and Cure less commercial than Pearl Jam? At this point of time in their career, Coachella is the perfect festival for them. And this is coming from someone who is not a huge fan of them appearing in festivals. Honestly, if they just decided not to do festivals altogether that would be the best but since they ARE doing festivals, Coachella would have been the perfect venue for them to try out those new rockers they are "supposed" to be working on. But that's fine, if not doing any festivals mean working even harder on the new record, that's the sweetest tune to my ear :)

Seeing the line up for Coachella saved me a trip to California this year. After Bonnaroo last year, I don't think I'll be satisfied with any other PJ festival performace :)

Is it just me or is that a terrible, terrible lineup? I thought about going to Cochella in years past (and I live in KY) but that lineup or horrendous. Hopefully Bonnaroo or Lollapalooza will provide me with a great festival to go to this year.

Dude, get out of that state NOW! Lexington is somewhat OK though. Also, that state gave us MMJ, so I guess I gotta cut it some slack :D

^ I know, I know...I'm not a big fan of it either...I live in Lexington and there is never any good bands or concerts in the area. Louisville gets some good shows, but I can rarely make it down there.

I completely agree with you. I was planning on going but now I don't know if i want to....that lineup just doesn't have the "WOW" factor....PJ made more sense than The Cure!!!

^^^^I feel ya...$270 for that lineup!? Seriously....yeah that is a terrible lineup....compared to the lineups that Lolla and Bonnaroo have put together the last 2 years, that lineup is a joke....
