Commentator Eric Kuselias while talking about Bruce's halftime show was arguing with Skip Bayless about how good the Boss is and mentioned the 3 records that have had the greatest influnce on his life.

Born To Run
Thriller
Ten

Oh, and the argument was is Bruce great or just good. I'd have to agree with Skip on this one, he's merely good.

Pretty big reocord at the time. One of the best sellers ever. I was into Iron Maiden and Van Halen when it came out. Not exactly my cup of tea. Did make a great video for the title song though.

I like just about all the personalities form ESPN radio, Eric K included. PJ gets tons of mentions on ESPN, tv and radio.

Bruce is almost great. You couldn't make a very sound argument put him as the greatest ever.

I party with Scott couple times a year before Maryland football games at a bar called bentleys. I never knew he was a PJ fan. Good to know.

Perhaps you are young, but to call Bruce merely good is ridiculous. Eddie Vedder would definitely disagree with you on that. I get that his style is not for everyone, but he's easily the best song writer of his generation. No one has ever captured the difference between the American dream and the American reality and put it to music like him, or to tell story withing a song the way he does. He's been relevant since frickin' 1972. Think about that, it's ridiculous. Zeppelin hadn't even made houses of the holy or Physical Graffiti yet, thousands of bands have come and gone, and he is still pumping out great albums, and at an absurd rate. PJ used to have Bruce-esque work ethic in the 90s. It's extremely hard to pull off, and they do pull it off from a touring standpoint. If you really think he is merely good, just go back and listen to Born to Run, Darkness, and The River, or check out the live 75-85, or check out some of his live songs on Youtube. It's not good, it's outstanding.
Change don't come at once, it's a wave, building before it breaks.
