where is the "online" NOT off/on button, but online? why isn't it obvious? I'm working at home and my new printer jammed. After I reloaded the paper, it won't print, and i unplugged it from the wall. did i erase everything, do i need to reinstall? ican't even find it under troubleshooting.
the status monitor on my computer says the ptr is offline. where is the online button? on my prehistoric beast printer at work, it's clearly on front and i must push the button to put it back online after a jam. very simple.
i am on a network at home but there are no other printers installed, we have an unplugged computer in another room.

look at your printer manual (or find it online), there should be a button/combination of buttons to press to reset it.
Also you can try leaving it unplugged for 5 mn.

Thanks, I could not find in my manual. I left and when I came home hours later, it worked fine for my husband. I did nothing to put it back online. Go figure. Thank you!
