A $35 Modest Mouse ticket has a $12 service charge.

A bit excessive!

I can only imagine how much I'm going to get bent over for the Springsteen serivce charges ...

(granted, I'm hoping just to be in the building)

my girl picked up the MM and Bloc Party tickets, so, I haven't seen the service charges ... I'm getting Springsteen and Coachella tix ... fair trade ... :D

I thought the "service fee" with livenation was going to be like all of ticketmaster's little BS fees rolled into one. Also, I don't think they are going to charge for you to print your own tickets.

The worst is when Ticketmaster gives you coupons for free McDonald's and 2 free itunes songs. But then your normal $8 service charge ends up being a $12 service charge

5/23/2011- An utter embarrassment... ticketing failures too many to list.
  • Fact is overall the Live Nation ticketing charges are going to be cheaper. I've already ordered tix to a few shows through them and it is 10x easier and quicker.

Live Nation is the future of many peices of music/entertainment. Very smart company

Now that LiveNation is able to offer ticketing, and they are also the promoter - this means that PJ now has leverage!! Before TM had control of the venue, and had no real competitor. PJ can negotiate with LN because there ARE other promoters... so they can negotiate with LN and say, if you want this tour, then we get to sell 100% tickets directly to fans, and then any unsold thru tenclub can then be put into LN's system for sale.

I'd even say we should start a petition on the pit for this. This gives PJ the freedom they wanted - let's hope they use it.
