Can someone help me with an I-pod problem?

I need someone to tell me step by step how to shuffle one of the playlists I made. It shuffles it on the computer screen but not on the i-pod itself. Do I need to take it off first? If so, how do I do that?

Any help would be great.

    On your iPod you have to shuffle it during playback.

    Settings --> Shuffle --> Songs, then play your playlist.
