I never paid to much attention to weezer, normally i spend my time on NPR, Podcast, Audiobooks and of course Pearl Jam, but I heard a program on NPR and they interviewed the singer or weezer, after a couple of music samples I started to listen to weezer on Pandora... What a surprise they' play pretty decent music! is there any fan of weezer around here? i remember eddie sing in a song with weezer but i can't remember the name.

Peace

Weezer is one of the most underrated bands of the 90s/2000s.
And the best part about it is that the band knows it, and they don't care at all. They just keep pumping out quality music.

Eddie's never done anything with Rivers or Weezer.

There's a similar thing going on with the bands, though.

There's always a debate on the weezer boards about which era is better, the Matt Sharp era or the post-Matt Sharp era. It is similar to the debate about Dave A. on these boards.

I've been a Weezer fan since the Blue Album. I last saw them in October. I think the Red Album is really solid. But nothing beats the back-to-back Blue and Pinkerton albums for me.
  • Weezer = very legit

say them in september and they were great, more lights and such than PJ but still a great live act, not only do they write good music they write entertaining (and sometimes even funny) lyrics

I saw them opening for foo fighters, they were better than foo live. Great presence in the stage and very open to the public.

You're 31 and just discovered Weezer???? I thought everyone from the age 26-35 was issued the Blue album during grade school....you must have been absent that day.

Well i didn't care too much for anynothing besides PJ i had a couple of other bands that i liked and never paid to much attention to the rest of the world, didn't care about radio or mtv. Even now i only listen to a couple of bands and some of them are extinct, that's why weezer is a discovery, hey but like i said, why don't recomend me a couple of good bands?

Look for the old rarities like Mykel and Carli, Suzanne and You Gave Your Love to Me Softly. There's a ton out there and they're all great.

I'm 32 and the blue album came out my freshman year in college. I think your math is a little off.

While I agree, I still like all the albums besides Make Believe - that one did nothing for me at all. The Red Album isn't much better but is a decent record. The Green Album is very short but a fun summer record. Maladroit was decent but a lot of hit and miss. I've never seen Weezer live but would really like to. I'm hoping they'll be part of the Bonnaroo announcent on Tuesday!
I wish I was as fortunate, as fortunate as me.

I loved Pinkerton and Blue album. After that I thought Weezer was hit or miss. "Maladroit " to me personally was a horrible album. That was their weak link to me anyway. I actually liked Make Believe and got to see Weezer live on the co headline with foo fighters. Though I'm a bigger foo fan abd thought they put on the better show- Weezer was VERY impressive live. I had an absolute blast watching them rock out, quirkiness and all. Since it was a co headline tour, they stuck mostly to "blue album" with some "Make believe" thrown in. They played two pinkerton songs for us, and then the hits off green album. I had a blast. Weezer was impressive. Missed them last time in October, but I'd like to see them do a full headline show. Red album for me was so-so. Decent live show though- check them out.

  • When I first saw the title I wanted to say something sarcastic :p But I won't. I like a few songs by them but I'm not a huge fan. I wouldn't pay to see them in concert.

    +1

Pinkerton is fucking weird but it's amazing.
