Has anyone heard the newest Black Keys album? I'm a fan of their older music, but after reading some reviews on their latest album, I'm a bit skeptical.

I love this album, thought it was one of the best of 2008.

I like the album a lot, but it is definitely a change of pace from their earlier work. I'm not the hugest black keys fan... I have Attack and Release, Rubber Factory and thickfreakness, but that's it. Some of their early albums sound kinda samey, so I like the freshness and variety of the new album. But if you mainly like them for heavy, hard rocking blues, you might be disappointed. That's all on the new album, but it's more mellow and not as fierce.

I didn't really care for it. LIstened to it a couple of times and never listened again. I was actually going to go see them live but after hearing the album, changed my mind.

That was a bad decision, they are incredible live. So much better than on the albums.

its really good. very upbeat and full of just hard-hitting guitar songs. in comparison to magic potion, it's a little more complex. still really good.
Beavis: All my friends are brown and red? What does that mean?
Butthead: It means that his friends are like turds and that they like suck.
Beavis: Heh heh. Oh yeah. Yeah! Get those spoons out of my face before I shove them up your butt!
    Butthead: Huh huh.
