    The Red Sox GM Theo Epstein is a huge Pearl Jam fan...maybe he had something to do with this jersey getting signed by Eddie as I am sure Theo was at his Boston shows!

    Hopefully this awesome charity can raise some big $$$!

    The auction description states that the jersey is "authentic" but this is wrong. The jersey is missing the Major League Baseball logo on the collar above "VEDDER" so it clearly is a Red Sox replica home jersey.

    yeah...Theo was at the 2nd Boston solo show disguised as an old man!! reminded me of Bruce Lee in Chinese connection..he was across the isle and two rows back from me & the wife and sitting about 3 seats from Howard Zinn.

    I know, I was going to bid on this then, but realized you had to be at the pavillion to bid and win and couldn't make it that night. Interested to see how much this grabs.

    Very cool item. Yeah, Theo was @ the second EV solo show in Boston in August. He also came on stage for the second Boston show @ Garden in 2006 and played RITFW in disguise. Pretty cool stuff.

    How can it be an authentic home jersey when the Sox home jerseys do not have the last names of the players on the back? Only their road uniforms do.

    We're told that this is the same shirt - the person who won it gave it back so The Animal Rescue League of Boston could auction it again and thus raise more money to help the animals! That's why the donor's name is what it is.
