How many sit ups do I start out with?

Gonna start doing some sit ups...

How many do I start with? I just don't wanna kill myself.

    Start with like 3-5 sets of 10 and do them during the commercial breaks while you are watching TV. Every week or so, add another set or increase the number. Get up to where you are doing 100 or so a day.
    But remember, doing sit ups/crunches will strengthen your abs, but if you have fat around your midsection, you won't be able to see the results of your hard work.
    In addition to the sit ups, think about doing some cardio as well. Start small, but if you can get up to doing 45min-1 hour a day of jogging, swimming, biking etc, pretty soon, you'll just be a lazy bastard :D

    Starting small is key. I started doing cardio i felt bad because i would only ride the bike for like 15 or 20 minutes at a time at low resistance and i would be tired :(

    But i built up where i do about 45 minutes on a good resistance level now. It did not happen quick but for me i would hear well you should put the machine on high and do at least and hour of cardio :?

    No way i could do that espcially in the begining, but i started eating better and working out a little more over time and it took a while but i've gotten in better shape. (not as round lol )

    I sitll have a ways to go but just remember you don't have to climb the tallest mountain from the start. Pick a little one

    is when i get my fat ass out of bed in the morning......

    and as i get older.....that one situp is getting more difficult to accomplish...........
