just bought a 720p tv, having an issue with pixels on certain channels. Some seem to be worse than others..I live in the NYC area and get free Cablevision HD. I want to know what is happening and how I can fix it. please!

  • if it is only certain channels, then it's the signal

  • probably not much you can do.

I have time warner cable and some hd channels are breathtakingly clear, and some are pretty grainy looking.

only possibility is an external HD antenna but even that might not help...

I'm not familiar with the TV service you have, but are the channels you think look bad actually HD channels?

My HD channels look incredible, but when I flip over to SD channels, they look horrendous (I've become a snob).

One thing I have noticed, at least where I am in DC with comcast, certain channels in Hi Def looks better than others. With me, CBS and ESPN look way better than Fox as an example. So that may be a part of it as well.
