We get absolutely ZERO updates.

It's kinda bull shit. Every other band lets their fans into the recording life. Like at least photos from inside the studio, or video. Maybe even a blog. NOTHING. We just sit and wait.. and wait some more.

It's probably because they enjoy reading and hearing these crazy rumors that people come up with about tours and new albums.

Still, it's annoying. This band is SO secretive, I can't take it! lol.

Really though, I think all of us NEED some CONCRETE news, just an update a personal message to the fans, from Jeff or someone.

I get updates like that from a few bands and they're usually pretty lame - things are coming
together nicely, still putting the finishing touches on the new album, blah, blah, blah.

I'm happy to wait for the finished product.

Further back and forth a wave will break on me, today...

Suck it up...it will be worth the wait...we already know they are in the studio and that the new album will be released sometime this summer.

I'm also in the Metallica fan club, and believe it or not, their fanclub is fantastic. Its run like a machine, seriously. They've had in-studio videos everyday for the last 2 albums.... PJ club is cool too tho.... ;)

I agree- a little update just to assure us would be nice.
Right before each of the members did their solo thing I thought they were working on the album, but they were all doing their own thing.
Why not keep us updated? They know we love it.

I can handle waiting on album news, but I wish they'd give us some damn tour information. Not even early dates, just say hey "We are planning on starting the tour _______ this year, and there will be 2 US legs and one European leg." Even though we're still gonna all be scrambling like mad to get vacation and large amounts of cash mobilized with a week's notice, at least then we'd have an idea of when.

I think the reason why the 10c isn't as good at updating and shit is cuz they have alot more to do then other clubs.

I mean, the 10C has been in existance since 91(?). We are probably a much bigger club then any other fan club.

    I'm with you there.
I don't have to worry about vacation as I temp (so I just quit :P ), but I'm weary of booking other gigs and Theatre shows because I don't know I'll be able to attend them..
As it stands, I've pretty much kept the whole of June and July empty (apart from T in the Park) in anticipation of some tour ... but September bookings are going to start soon for the theatres I go to, and I don't know what to do... :?

Band needs to realise people plan our annual leave around them, and give tentative ideas so we can figure our year out :)

i dunno....just got an email over the weekend, hinting very much at a new album or tour this year being a good possibility. of course, it didn't outright say it, but yea.....was the feeling i got. beyond that, i guess coming from a bit older generation, i just don't *expect* to be kept up to date with every little happening, etc. tis a choice really. personally, i don't need any of it....just be sure to let me know when the albums get released and 10c tix go on sale and i'm all good. :)

Funnny if they announce a tour tomorow.

I always thought Pearl Jam were really good about communicating to and looking out for their fans. Isn't that one of the things they are known for? Daily updates from inside the studio seems excessive to me.
I'm not too concerned with PJ20, because I celebrate the band's existence every year.

I think it's responsible of them to NOT give continual fanboy reassurance pats. Every time artists start talking about how things are going in the studio, they're pressured into giving a time-till-release. Almost without fail, these are wrong. Let them work, without interference, in the way to which they are accustomed.
