Angel City a.k.a. The Angels

I've been feeling a bit nostalgic lately and digging out some aged vinyl from the 80's. I ran accross a few Lps by Angel City, better known as The Angels in their native Oz. They had a really good 3 record run with Face to Face, Dark Room & Night Attack from about '80-'83. I checked out their website and found the following interesting because of the PJ reference:

Indisputably throughout their history they have been venerated not only by their legions of dedicated fans – many of whom have grown up with their music from their youth; but can boast a fan club of some of rock music’s greatest names. AC/DC, David Bowie, Keith Richards, Aerosmith, Guns 'N Roses, Meat Loaf, Kurt Cobain, Motley Crue, Great White, Cheap Trick, Pearl Jam and lastly, but by no means least, former Easybeats’ legends Harry Vanda and George Young, who also launched the recording career of AC-DC and a host of others via independent Sydney label Alberts – are members.

I do remember that the pacific northwest was one of the few places in America where the band received substantial airplay, so members of PJ acknowledging them would make sense.

Anyone else familair with them?

I remember KROQ in L.A. used to play them quite a bit in the early 80

First U.S. release had some great songs: Take a Long Line; Marseilles; After the Rain; Am I Ever Gonna See Your Face Again; Shadow Boxer; Comin' Down.

In fact, I think I need to buy them at itunes!
