So I just got tickets to see Bloc Party in Winnipeg, and I can honestly say I only like the first album, but I have heard that the live show is spell binding! Can y'all confirm or deny this?? Any fan views of shows you have seen them play would be great!!

They just added another show here in Vancouver at the Commodore. Like you, I only like the first album. I saw them in 05 at the Commodore when that was all they had out, it was fantastic. I saw them on the next tour in a theatre for Weekend, and it was very dull, lacklustre. I like Intamacy even less than Weekend, so I will not be seeing Bloc Party again. As much as I like the first album, sitting through a concert full of crap, with a few good songs throughout doesn't sit right with me. I'm sure you will have a good time though, but come on, you agree Intamacy is weak?

Intamacy is very weak.. I'm not sure what they were going for on it, but at times it seemed like they were going for a radiohead vibe that just takes you no where... maybe we just dont "get it"

I just got into Bloc Party in the last month or so. The first album is outstanding. Weekend in the City is decent. Intimacy has "Ares" which is pretty damn outstanding, but other than that it's not so great. I did pre-order their upcoming album.

Check out some YouTube videos of 'em playing live. They look/sound great!
