Thank goodness we have this man, Obama, in office--a man with some sense. What a relief! And at the same time...it's just slightly weird to have a man with an actual brain at the helm. Just a few days in, and he's already saving lives by making sure that contraception is available to the women who need it the most, making abortion much less of a an even considered consequence. Bush was not a deep-thinker. Let's make sure that poor women can't get contraception if an agency in any way funds abortions. Idiot. All he did was make sure more abortions were performed than ever.

    Agreed. :)

    indeed!
it's amazing to think what we've put up with the last 8 years. it actually doesn't require obama to make much effort to be superior....but i am HAPPY he really Is putting forth great efforts, which i imainge will continue, for the betterment of our country, and the world at large. :)

common sense is a GREAT thing.

Obama was head of Harvard's Law review, which most people don't know or forget about, he has been busting his ass all his life. The country and the world is lucky we have him.
  • I'm not ready to give him a medal yet, but the direction that our country was heading in certain areas are being change, so there are some positive steps being taken.

I'm just curious to see where we are in about 6 months from now.

How is he making sure contraception is available to the women who need it most?

Any facts to that, or are you just spouting the Lib talking points?

Uh... by reversing the policy that denied funding for contraception services?

Or are you asking whether the women affected by this policy need it the MOST as opposed to just needing it an average amount? If so, I would argue that many of these women need contraception the most because they live in cultures/countries where women are not allowed to refuse to have sex with their husbands, or where only illegal, unsafe abortion is available, or where they are more likely to die in childbirth, or where they truely can't afford to feed a child, etc...
