    i can remember when the Tribune bought the cubs......back in the early 80's....

    for $20 million or so.....

    now the cubs are selling for $900 million.....

    No, he hasn't, and he has made some dumb moves here and there (Kidd, Rodman, etc.), but he did put that 2006 Mavs team together. Not his fault they crapped the championship away.

    you might get a laugh out of this.....

    i once read as you get older.....you need to look at what you did as a child.....or what was it that brought you happiness as a child........and go back to doing that........TO KEEP YOU HAPPY...

    so....as a kid i used to collect baseball cards.....and then like a fool i sold them all (i had pleny of vintage cards.)

    so last week i went on ebay and decided i am going to start buying some of what i consider the vintage cards (mays,clemente,aaron,banks)....well i was happy to see that the baseball card industry has fallen the way of the economy....i am now the proud owner of the first 5(including rookie card) topps Billy Williams cards...hehehehehehehe and i didnt spend $60......even though "book value" says they are worth $4,856,321.00 hehehehehehehehehe

    after i collect all the billy williams cards......i am going to move on to clemente......

    i guess now all the poster people.....can start laughing at me.....hahahahahahahahahahaha

    Nah, that's pretty cool. But then again you know baseball is by far my favorite sport so anything to do with baseball rarely gets disparaged by me ... lol.

    as a kid i remember thinking.....wow my dad has never seen the cubs win the world series????

    hell there is no way i will go through my life without seeing the cubs win the world series.......

    Eddie would become Public Enemy #1 in my book if he bought the Cubs. I'm just glad the NHL found a use for Wrigley when the weather gets cold. Lord knows the Cubs don't play there when the weather turns cold.

    Yes, it's cold in April in Chicago. I was making the point that they never play when the weather TURNS cold...October or November

    i am a cubs fan but always say when they win it all the world will come to the end. The final out will be made by the left feilder wil make the catch. Everyone will be jumping upand down and then the 4 horse men will come over the right feild wall. FADE TO BLACK.
