No mum and dad aren't PJ fans. They're 66 and 67 and def not into that kind of music.

HOWEVER, in 1995 when I was 15 I loved PJ and I live a long way away from the closest venue in Brisbane and didnt realise they were touring (Vitalogy tour). I found out the day after tickets went on sale and the concerts were already sold out. I was soooo disappointed. Devastated. A few weeks later mum picks me up from school and hands me this envelope. It had two tickets to Pearl Jam in it. Without me knowing, mum and dad had placed an advertisement in the Brisbane newspaper saying "two tickets wanted" and bought me and my sister AWESOME tickets right near the stage Stone's side for 3 x the face value. I couldn't fucking believe it. And since they didn't want me going alone at just under 16 years of age, they paid for my 20 year old sister and I to have a 4 day holiday, accommodation, PJ tickets, airfares, food, spending money....the lot. Why? Purely because they saw how much I loved Pearl Jam.

I have now seen 5 Pearl Jam tours -- 95, 98, 03, 06, 09. And they all started with those two tickets.

Happy Mother's Day, Mum! You fucking ROCK!! :D

Well this made my Friday, but didn't get to post then, so I'll post now!

My awesome math teacher is very preggo & Friday was her last day, as she'll be out for the rest of the year on pregnancy leave. So my friend & I made her an epic cake that said 'Congrats On Multiplying' :D She loved it & brought some fellow math teachers in to chuckle at it!

That's FANTASTIC! Made me laugh. :) My friend is going back to school to be a math teacher, and we both love math/number puns! Good job!
