Background checks SUCK! I have to account for every residence I lived for the last 10 years... who remembers which dorm room they had in college? How am I supposed to remember the address of the apartment I lived at for 6 weeks while I studied in Ireland one summer 6 years ago?

I got out of college long before you, but my freshman and soph dorm room was 1709, Junior was 1115, and apartment number my senior year was 12C.
And I drank heavily all 4 years, so you can't use that as an excuse.

I, oddly enough, remember that my freshman dorm was 962, but can't remember my room the second year. I got my college apartments... because the 10c has records of all the orders I had shipped to them in undergrad ;)

I'm about to graduate with a graduate degree from two pretty big schools (univ. of michigan and NYU) and have not lived in a dorm yet. I think I should after I graduate like those guys in Old School though...

    214 Freshman year...I think
That's the only year I lived in the dorms, I've lived off campus every year since then.
I do remember one night coming home just plastered and my RA checked me in since it was after hours and she asked me my room number and I just slurred some combination..not even close. I may have even told her two different numbers, just started guessing. I believe I fell down shortly after that.

They're going to do it once I turn all this in with my fingerprint card anyway... it's kind of a test... they try to nail you for lying if you hide or forget anything.

  • It was 15 years ago (ouch), and I can't remember. I know it was the 4th floor, and on the low number end of the hall, but those brain cells were lost a long time ago.

This is a pretty heavy/serious check though, and they look for reasons to grill you. I have enough skeletons in my closet that worry me that I don't want to take any chances getting railed for not putting down my many apartments.

Not a job, I'm applying for the Bar Exam. They do an FBI style rundown on your entire history.
