    In my best J.R. voice: In my final burn, Jime Rome still has a TV show. Worst of all it comes before 2 great sports shows on ESPN: Around The Horn and Pardon the Interruption. Look Jim, I don't know i mommy didn't pay enough attention to you when you were young or if your are trying to compensate for something I am not aware of, but your shtick is not getting old, it is old, and it has been for a long time. I know you think you are being edgy, and I know you think you are just the witiest person to ever grace sports fans' televisions, but surely you must know that you are nothing short of wittless and boring. Your whole "angle" is nothing more than trying to be confrontational just for the sake of riling things up. The best part is: You only annoy people. I've never heard anyone commenting on your merits or your encyclopedic knowledge of the inner-workings of sports. All I hear are people complaining how annoying you are. If I could give one word of advice it is this: just bow out gracefully before you are exposed for the fraud that you are. "BinFrog is Hopping" would be a nice change of scenery. Stay tuned tomorrow when my guest will be Jim Rome, the day after he is kicked off the air.

    Yeah.....basically can't stand the guy, and don't know how he has an audience. I understand that people gain certain audiences by being an asshat, but that's one guy I just don't get.

    i listen to Rome most days on my short 7 minute car ride to work. i didnt know that people had a hate on for this guy....he is pretty opiniated, but it seems like he is pretty respected on his radio show....lots of willing interviewees every show. honestly, what i like about him is the syncopation and cadence in his speech. i dont really care what he is saying, i just like the way he talks, and if its about a sport i care about, all the better!

    Rome is okay in my books.

    I agree that he is funny. Some might not 'get' him but he's a breath of fresh air to me. :D

    I dig his radio show, not a fan of the tv show.

    he gets people to talk to him that dont do a shit ton of interviews, and gets them to talk about things that actually matter.
    he is well respected by the people he has on the show.

    i can understand the dislike for him though. Rome is not an easy pill to swallow.

    i would usually not like him. especially his head shot. but the show is fun. it's just an inside joke running for 15 years or whatever...

    but he is giving pj fans big props right now. sayin phish fans got nothin on us. pretty funny stuff. lots of vedder blasts. i'm happy

    yeah, I went to lunch right after I posted in this thread. He pretty much talked about PJ or EV for the entire 45 minutes that I was in the car.

    I think he's fun to listen to .
