I'd say they have a much better shot. Outside of Theo bein a fan, PJ has zero chance to play Fenway.
I thought there was an interview or a comment at a concert where Eddie said they had an open invitation to play whenever they wanted. I feel like this has been discussed before..apologies if I'm completely off.

Honestly, if Ed has said this publicly it must be a possibility. Love it or hate it, Fenway in August would be a great place for PJ to play. Wouldn't mind seeing U2 either. Either one would be historic in it's own right. Knowing the suits at Fenway, it's a once in a lifetime opportunity.

I'm sure if PJ's schedule overlapped with when Fenway usually does their once a year concert ... it would happen. That said, while I'd be there in a flash, I'm not holding my breath.

Agreed. See ya there.

Can you imagine Pearl Jam opening up for U2? They could set the stadium up for 40,000 fans easily with seats on the field. Heck, Vedder himself could open and they'd still draw 40,000 fans for two nights. Vedder/PJ goes on at 6:00pm and then U2 goes on at 8:30 to 11pm. Now that's a show.

Seeing PJ open for Tom Petty...mildly disappointing. It wasn't a fair divide at all..short, opening set, no encore. I would hate to see the same thing happen again. I like U2, and I would die to see PJ at Fenway, but they could sell that show on their own.

I agree that PJ could sell out two nights, but you have to convince the suits at Fenway that PJ isn't a nostalgia act from 1995. A double bill would no doubt sell out 40,000 seats easily with both acts two nights. Can you say Best Concert Ever???

Theo is all the clout they need at fenway.
Please let U2 play there without PJ

I'm sure Theo could get it done.
Interesting timing, I was watching some of the new MLB Network late last night, and they were running something called "Red Sox Memories" ... showing past Red Sox playoffs runs and talking to players ... they were interviewing Theo, and he was wearing this hat ...
maybe ... it's a sign ....

Dale and Holley were talking about PJ playing Fenway a couple of weeks ago on WEEI radio. Hmmmmm

We need PJ at SMALLER venues, not larger ones!
I'm sure Theo could get it done.
