i just got a new record player. WOW!

i just listened to riot act for the first time on record and my GOD it's so much more beautiful than i thought! i'm hearing things i've never heard before! i'm listening to i am mine now and it's even more amazing than i thought. i thought i loved the album before but it's like a whole new love now. i want more records :twisted: i just bought quadrophenia, i wonder how that will sound :D

    What record player did you get? I use a Pro-ject Debut II. I think there are certain genres of music that should only be listened to on vinyl.

    i tried to get one for a picture of my boobs. didn't pan out... i would love to get a hold of one though, but they're so darn expensive :cry: which is also part of the answer to "which record player did you get?"
    see, me being in debt and could only afford what $50 could get me (cuz i got a gift card for amazon.com for christmas) i got this:

    Quadrophenia sounds great on LP. One my favorite records to listen to.

    i have lots of pj vinyl and i live in new york. what vinyl would it take to get an in-person look at those puppies? of course, i'm kidding...unless you want to. ;)

    That's awesome. Don't let the "audio/vinyl snobs" who hang around here and post stuff nobody understands scare you. If that's what you could afford, that's what you'll get now and you'll enjoy it. In fact, I was looking for myself and I just might get the same one.

    It just sucks that you gotta buy the speakers separate and whatnot.. I'm far too lazy to do any solid research on this matter. One day...

    the one i got has speakers built in, unless youre talking about something else?

    I listen mainly to mp3s, while if I listen to Pearl Jam I can go for the CDs, 'cause they sound better. But to me... spending money to buy a technology that is decades old... I just don't get it.

    Should I see a doctor? No, really, in this board I feel like I'm retarded when you talk about vinyls....

    i dunno about you but when i listen to riot act on vinyl, it's so much more beautiful than i could ever have imagined. all or none and arc are just haunting. i could hear things i couldn't before. i think it's awesome, you don't have to, its ok :)

    Quadrophenia sounds amazing, but I'm sure you're figuring that out for yourself :D That and Vs. on vinyl are hard to top.
