    Rad band

Anybody heard anything about the possible reunion including a Coachella stop?

I have no idea if this is true but did hear it in passing
“I know this song so well, I can smoke a cigarette, have a drink, brush my teeth, take a shit, and mow the lawn while singing it. But I'll only be doing a couple of those things during this version.”

The reunion thing has been going around for a while. I wouldn't hold my breath though.

Lead singer didn't die, did he? I was watching the video on youtube for "Cut Your Hair" and some of the recent comments were RIP Stephen. I couldn't find anything online though :?

I haven't seen that video in years.

I don't think the singer is dead though. That doesn't sound right to me.

Wikipedia, his website and recent setlists all seem to show that Stephen Malkmus is very much alive. Here's an article from yesterday about Pavement: http://www.chartattack.com/features/201 ... -pavement/

is that like a "Primus Sucks" thing or something? I don't see news anywhere. He appears to be alive and well :eh:

I caught them 3 times on their reunion tour of '09. First three albums are masterpieces.

Saw them in DC last week. During the band intros, Malkmus introduces the guitarist (Scott Kannberg aka Spiral Stairs) as "the Stone Gossard of Pavement"! Not a bad comparison. Both play guitar, wear glasses, and stand on the right side of the stage
  • Such a fun band, really enjoy seeing them live as well

We died laughing when Malkmus said that. Great fucking show! Much better than the 2010 shows imo

Also, kinda weird there are so few Pavement fans here on this website for another excellent band from the 90s

They were not incredibly popular back then.  Well known but not a chart topper or anything.

    So many good songs.

I have all the Albums, compilations, the 2 live records and a bunch of singles and an EP or 2. Not got the recent Terror Twilight boxset because the price was a bit much for me but definitely a band I enjoy.
