Grand Theft Auto type games

I am immersed in GTA 4. I havent really played any games in years, but this one is too much fun to play. Since i'm not really in the loop, i was wondering if anyone knows of any other PS3 games that are similar in the style of this open-ended and free roaming action??

The only other one sort of similar i've heard of is assasins creed.

    Saints Row 2, Mercenaries 2, Far Cry 2 is a little bit (it's an fps, but open world).

    Fallout 3 is a HUGE open-world FPS/role-playing game.

    Lots of fun!! I've been playing it a ton lately.

    BTW, don't bother with Assassin's Creed. It's only decent at best, and it gets old really, really quick.

    Assassin's Creed kicked ass, even with the repetition.

    Forgot about Fallout 3, that one is also very good, which leads me to Oblivion, which is also really good.
    Fallout and Oblivion are a lot slower than GTA though.

    yeah, i keep hearing assasins creed is repetitive, but i saw it used for like 15 bucks, so i'll give it a shot.
    And thanks, I checked out Fallout 3 on youtube. Looks very cool. I'll probably pick that one up too once its been out a little longer and i can get it for cheaper.

    I'd personally rent Assassin's Creed. After 15 minutes, you've played the entire game. :D

    Use that money and put it into Fallout 3.

    As Rygar said, your PSN is your Playstation User Name. If you've ever gone online or used the Playstation store, you have a username.

    Fallout 3 is great! I just finished it up and plan on running through it again here pretty soon. I had a lot of fun with GTA4 as well.

    Yeah, I finished it recently too. I realized once "finished" that I really only probably got through 10% of the game.
    I'm on my second character...this one is going to be evil. I'm taking everyone down! :D :evil:

    Still haven't finished Fallout 3 or GTA yet.

    I had to start over on GTA though. Now I'm stuck on a mission, same with Gears of War 2.

    Saint's row 2 actually looks more fun than GTAIV. I thought the biggest problem with GTA was the main character. I find him kinda lame.

    Which mission (GTA and Gears 2).
    Finished Gears 2 last night, awesome game.
