Right....cause the band wont have any other reasons to express their views..........
This is a politcal band....they've made no secret of it!
Like it or not, agree or disagree...IMO it's a part of the PJ package.

I could listen to "Here's to the State" a thousand times over before I hear "No More" again....
Historic day? Only because of the color of his skin. We've done this 43 times before.
We could have taken the $150 million and spent it on education.
This swearing in could have been done behind closed doors with three people.
I will not praise Obama based on the fact he is a good speaker.
Its now time to put up or shut up President Obama.0 -

Oh, c'mon. Every inauguration is historic. In a country that has bought and sold and raped and lynched it's own people only because of the color of their skin, how can you deny this is a huge milestone? We could have spent the money from the 2004 inauguration on the needs of the troops and their families. The government has done far too much behind closed doors. An inauguration is, by it's nature, a public event in a democracy.
You're right, we shouldn't praise President Obama purely based on the fact he is a good speaker.
Nor should anyone condemn him for the taking his place at the center of a public ceremony like the 43 Presidents before him.“Wind in my hair, I feel part of everywhere...
Late at night I hear the trees, they're singing with the dead...overhead...”0 -

Get with the program! Why not be mediocre and be the best at it that you can be?0 -
Ohhh and SUPER CONGRATS with President OBAMAAAAAAA!!!!!
Not just YOUR president may I say, also ours!!!Why not be mediocre and be the best at it that you can be?0 -
you have to be proud of your new president. I write from Italy and I'm excited at the idea that something new is coming all over the world, I'm sure about it. President Bush made a disaster, because of his policy he has injured United States in the world. Obama is the right person to make us change our mind about the role of U.S in the foreign affaires. Be proud of him, the entire world is now with you.
Here's to the land of BARACK H: OBAMA0 -

yeah many of their songs revolved around social issues back in the '90s, but none of their albums were directly taken out on the Clinton administration and their fuck-ups, were they? no. you can play the "Pearl Jam is a political band" card all day. yeah, I agree. but my point is, maybe we'll get some better albums out of them now. I think some of the band's best-written melodies were thrown away on knocking Bush and complaining about the state of the country under his administration, thus giving those songs an expiration date. no need to play Bushleaguer anymore. and it's too bad. that's such a groovy tune, in spite of the subject matter. Eddie's gotta be looking for something else to ramble about during shows now. I guess we're stuck with "No More" for awhile longer though.... those troops ain't coming home anytime soon.0 -
yes . . . very festive!0
