Yeah, I know this thread has been done before but....

Tried this morning to get DMB tickets (no jokes, please) the second they went on sale. Of course, "no matches found," blah, blah blah. BUT WAIT! On the same page, they offer to "Expand your search at Tickets Now: a Ticketmaster company." Lo and fucking behold, this "Ticketmaster company" has plenty of tickets if you want to add a hefty surcharge (into the thousands, if you were so inclined).

I can deal with Stubhub, but when Ticketmaster scalps their own tickets I say FUCK A BUNCH OF TICKETMASTER!!!!!

Bastards.

They should go back to in store sales only. At least then people would have a fighting chance.

I agree, but a buddy of mine who went to the Ritmo Latino music store :D was shut out too. He said the computer kept finding tickets but then said they were gone when they went to purchase...

at first I was happy about about the ticketmaste subsidiary because it worked like a craigslist or ebay where people could resell their tickets and it gave people a chance to pay for sold out shows without the risk of having the seller being a crook/theif/scammer since the ticket exchange occurs through ticketmaster.

BUT not only does the seller have to pay ticketmaster a commission on the sold ticket, the buyer STILL HAS TO PAY THE CONVIENIENCE CHARGES as they would if they were purchasing a regular ticket.

so not only are you paying the inflated market value you're also paying for the 33% convenience fees of that inflated price. So if you bought what was originally a 150 dollar ticket for (just an example) $1500 you would have to pay $450 dollars in convenience fees and tax on top of that. And the seller would have to pay ticketmaster 150 bucks for commision.

Lesson, stick with craigslist or ebay and do the ticket exchange in a public place.

    Boooo ticketmaster!!!

I bought tickets to Augustana the other day. Tickets were $16 each, so for 2 tickets I ended up paying a total of $47.08.

Wait what??? Fuck you ticketmaster!

Now you know why Ticketmaster is the only company in America that isn't asking for a Government Bailout.
