What a band! I've seen them 4 times now, make that 5 next month. I'm glad to see they are beginning to get the attention they really deserve. Nathan is an amazing drummer, and not bad to look at either!!!

Butthead: It means that his friends are like turds and that they like suck.
Beavis: Heh heh. Oh yeah. Yeah! Get those spoons out of my face before I shove them up your butt!
Butthead: Huh huh.
Why??? I don't think its so bad.
I've seen them 4 times, and they've gotten worse each time.
I would love to see them going "back to their roots" but I've read some interviews where they said that they hate most of their material off the first 2 records! :roll:
I personally think they were trying to write some hits on the last record and that's why some songs were lacking some serious depth!I can't wait to see them next month in Paris (@ l'Olympia), that's going to be awesome ... I hope.

each time they have gotten worse for me also... only by the night my god what a bad album, that hugely bad album for the hype!
Loads of stuff from the past three albums, nearly every song on the new one. All the favourites too. They ripped through 'em.
Not loads of interaction with the crowd, but enough and a good 4 song encore. I'd definitely go see 'em again.

Agreed, OBTN is great for the first 4 or 5 songs and then it just drops off into bland-every song sounds the same-u2 territory. I think BOTT is better than just "ok" though.

Be Somebody and Cold Desert are just a dynamite back to back. Worst sin of the album is not finishing it there.

Kings Of Leon have enjoyed huge success with their album Only By The Night, but the band isn’t resting on that success—drummer Nathan Followill tells The BBC that there are already songs in the works for the follow-up. “We’re probably four or five songs into the next record,” Followill says. “We do all of our writing in sound checks so you know you have a month-long tour, that’s 25 sound checks and you can get up there and at least work on ideas.” According to the drummer, it’s actually easier to write and work out material in this fashion. “We always end up doing records faster than we want to because we just get bored,” Followill says. “We go home and there’s nothing to do but drink or write, so we drink plenty so the writing comes shortly after.”

Anyway, I will always have the first two albums. It's like looking at old photos of me and an ex girlfriend. Good times, but it wasn't going to work out...because I was better off without her. See ya KOL...good luck on the billboard charts
first two albums = awesome
rest = AIDS
OBTN was ok, had a couple good songs but really over polished (as it's the radio album)
Come Around Sundown was a great album I thought.
Only seen them live once, but thought the show was pretty good.
