    This song I like to call, Pearl Jam's version of Ina Goda Devita.. cause well ya'll know the story to that right?? only instead of being whiskey drunk Ed was drunk on the gool ole' Almighty Red. ( as they have so lovingly named his wine!!) SO then He still actually has no idea what he said.. and is why to this very day each and everytime you hear it it's different.. But for all those who happened to be at the SDSA in 1995 for the nights of Nov.5&6, remember how he told the story of why Yellow ledbetter would always be different each and everytime!! So I always tell people just to make up their own words.. why not ??Ed has to!! P.S. the funny thing is.. just like Ina Godda Devita, Yellow Ledbetter turned out to be a favorite too!! Coincidence or are drunk songs better for us cause we get to make up our own lyrics??? Just a thought..

    Im a truck driver, and often, while waiting for the night time boss (different boss for daytime hours) to give me the paper work for my next job, I eyeball him and whistle masters of war. He has no idea about this tune.

    About as psycho as me finding myself unconciously humming Corduroy every time the boss passed me at my old job in the hideous days before I left. :)
