I think they put out the best album of '08 with Appeal to Reason. one of my favorite bands.

    Absolutely! Definitely one of my favorite bands nowadays and Appeal to Reason ranks high on my list of favorites this year. I bought a dvd of theirs from two or three years back, maybe longer, just recently and they are really a bunch of laid back dudes...kinda nerdy actually....but damn they make some bad ass music.
    Hero of War is one of my favorites, but ReEducation Through Labor is just fuckin' awesome, as are most all of the songs on that album.
    Anybody that doesn't know these guys needs to check them out

    how is that dvd? was thinking about picking it up. I think they put it out before appeal to reason, would have been cool to see some of those songs live. but I"m gonna have to pick that up.

    Its worth getting for sure. I had always seen it in the store, but never got it because I was more interested in a full concert. I finally gave in though. It has a nice documentary-type thing which kind of takes each band member individually, their significiant others....kind of getting-to-know-you type of thing more or less. The live footage is good and I even like having the videos that are one there
    All I have to do is revel in the everyday....then do it again tomorrow

    They say every sin is deadly but I believe they may be wrong...I'm guilty of all seven and I don't feel too bad at all

    RA just announced a US tour this spring, with Rancid.


    hell yeah. will be seeing them live in a few months. if anyone in the northwest is interested, let me know, maybe we can hook up.

    Rise Against is deff one of my favorite bands and appeal to reason was very solid

    If you like Rise Against and Journey (to an extent), listen to Rise Against's version of "Anyway You Want It" on their Revolutions Per Minute album. ...Awesome is all I can say about it.

    rise against is terrible... a second rate version of Pennywise and even that schtick got old fast! if them and Against Me! are being touted as the saviours of punk then there is no hope for the future of aggressive music.... Give me Iggy and the Stooges or even a newer band like Fucked Up!

    I love Rise Against. Discovered them just a few years ago. I have not had the opportunity to see them live but just noticed they will be at a small venue in St. Louis in September. But since I am traveling to several PJ shows in October I'm telling myself I can't go see Rise Against. :(
