In the early half of last year, 2 Roma(ethnic Gypsy) children "ran into" (more like were chased into) the ocean and drowned in Italy. Photos showed beachgoers continuing to sunbathe or play football within feet of the childrens bodies. At one point someone laid 2 beachtowels over them disgusted at the sight of them. After an hour, police finally arrived with 2 coffins to carry the bodies away.
Later that month holy hell broke lose when a Romanian raped and murdered a politicians wife then hid in a Romany camp (without their knowledge of what this man had done). When he was caught there, locals decided it was the Romanies fault and began brutal attacks that included murder, rape, launching of molotov cocktails into the camp, and severe police beatings.
Late summer last year Italy began taking a census of all Roma in the country, complete with photographing and fingerprinting. Including of the children. The goal is to illegally deport all Roma who are not Italian citizens (according to EU regulations, they are supposed to be allowed freedom to travel throughout all the EU states) and send those left to "clean and decent" housing. This housing is a compound surrounded by barbed fencing and reports from south Africa and India state there is a very large crematorium capable of cremating a large number of bodies at a time.
And the latest? Italian institutions are taking Roma children away from their parents without just cause. Most are infants, but there are a number between ages 4 and 6.
Deprived of their children, often in the space of a few hours after being arrested by the police on an excuse (and sometimes after being administered sleeping pills or sedatives) the mothers become incapable of opposing the measures being carried out by the social services and suffer such traumatic moral and psychological repercussions that they often attempt suicide.
...we have received news of the deaths of some very small infants following camp clearances and other violent acts being carried out towards children, women (some pregnant) and men of the Roma ethnic group - particularly Romanians. Senator Borghezio of the Lega Nord Party comments gleefully on this unjust ethnic purge: “We are carrying out a nice clean-up of Padania”. The press and TV channels, who have now become mere instruments of propaganda, are not devoting any time or words to these crimes against humanity and are even carrying out total censorship of the news
