i bought a no code vinyl last week and it just came in the mail today. I had an old turntable in my house that I was going to try and hook up so I could listen to it. After hooking it up i found out it didn't play. It turns on and spins but won't play anything. I think its the needle that isn't dropping or something. I live in central MA and was wondering if anyone knew where i could get it fixed or if anyone knew possibly how to fix it? I know this is a specific and tough question but I figured id throw it out there to see if anyone could help out. thanx

sounds like the turntables bust..dont risk your vinyl with a shitty old needle, get a shitty old 45 somewhere, but it sounds like the feed from your needle is screwed. get a new turn table fella!
  • well i didnt put the pj vinyl in obvi. i put in some old piece of garbage to test in on. n i figured a little needle repair might b cheaper than a whole new one.

I wouldn't toss out a turntable. They can be fixed. You can get a new stylus and cartrige for them, and then they are good to go. Go to www.kabusa.com

If it's a fairly good turntable it can be fixed. We had both of ours worked on recently and it wasn't very expensive. We just looked in the yellow pages and called around. :)
