The last I heard, Mike said they had 4 or 5 songs done. I was really hoping this would come out this year.

In this month's Classic Rock magazine in the UK, it says they are recording, and the album will be out in summer 2009. So I am guessing a nice World Tour starting late summer in Europe, and then through the US in October/November.

The new Blender magazine has a thing about "BIG Albums in 2009" there is a pic of Eddie and it says it will be out in 2009....If it is it probably won't be out until late fall/early winter I would think, hopefully they will do their Europe thang in the winter and be back here in Spring 2010 to fully rock out.

my moneys on a digital release (NIN and radiohead style) sometime in april/may... the new site is definitely foreshadowing something big in the not-so-distant future... i think they have alot more done than we're away of... atleast i hope so... all speculation on my part

they will atleast wait til the ten re-release is out of the way and the buzz dies down a bit... so my time frame makes sense IMO and allows for a good summer/fall tour

My guess is they'll release the album fall/winter '09, maybe play a few dates then tour in full strength in 2010. From their past interviews it really seemed like too much touring over the years has really worn them out. Plus, they're a bit older and they have families and such. I think the long rest and working on the album at their own pace will allow them come back strong touring in 2010.

No official tracklist is available at the moment. Some working titles of songs that the band could be recording for their ninth studio record are already circulating (from a 'very reliable source, someone within the studio,' we were told). Here they are:



- Shift (written by Stone Gossard & Matt Cameron)
- Dust (written by Mike McCready)
- Forward Thinking (written by Stone Gossard)
- In The Time Of Man (written by Ed Vedder)
- Cigarette Song Part I (written by Vedder)
- Cigarette Song Part II (written by Vedder)
- Agree To Disagree (Pearl Jam)
- High Crime (Pearl Jam)
- Yonder (Pearl Jam)


The last three songs could be written by the whole band

NZ/AUS/ASIA over the fall/winter

I think there is a possibility that there will be some 2009 US dates or a festival date in there
But I agree that a major US tour wont happen until 2010
