sitting here in my office and have the iPod on shuffle when self-pollution 1995 comes on! i absolutely love the rawness of this broadcast. indifference is pretty haunting. i love the bit where ed brings his voice lower during 'i'll scream my lungs out..."
i know i've got the 98' monkeywrench broadcast on tape somewhere.....

    Yep.
That was one king hell of a performance. 98' was pretty awesome too.
Damn shame these broadcasts haven't been commercially released.
Historically speaking...this is a must have.

This would be an awesome package to go with the Vitalogy and Yield re-issues.

  • can those be downloaded anywhere?

I've seen quite a few sites offer them from time to time. Sorry, I don't have any specific links right now.

    check pearljambootlegs.org

I wish i still had the full broadcasts, not just the downloaded tunes. Dammit I decided to become a folkie for a few years and never thought I'd go back.

i have a feeling they'll be officially released with coinciding re-releases... thats the closest thing to "unplugged" they have from those eras to throw into a "super deluxe" pack

would love for them to try something like this again... maybe as a podcast instead of radio since radio is such bullshit these days... they could have MMJ, KOL, green river, and other friends play

  • I remember listening to both Self Pollution Radio and Monkeywrench radio live back in the 90's. It was so cool. I have the Self Pollution Radio CD but I don't have the Monkeywrench radio CD...I have seen them on the Bay but have not been lucky enough to get one.

there MAY or may not be a video they have from the vitalogy or 95 era that would be great for an actual release.... :?

the hypothetical concert footage from this hypothetical '95 video may or may not be pretty "meh" IMO... though hypothetically there may be some fun candid moments

i do recall seeing some pretty decent footage from the self-pollution sessions that would be cool to have on DVD

best version of "Immortality" in my opinion....

I remember staying up late & trying to absorb all the music while recording & writing what was being played...good times.
    I LOVE MUSIC.

Does anyone happen to have the after-show DJ sets Ed did in 1995?

Think there are one or two off that Monkey Wrench CD Box Set. I'll check later tonight.
