Is there a story behind it? Does it tie into ‘Rats’ somehow?
First I thought rats where just on his sleeves but then I noticed they were on his pants too. I thought the matching top and bottom was kind of dorky. I mean have it on the shirt OR pants but not both.

I believe it's promotional clothing from the Rat Sound Systems get-up they were (still are?) using.
I just noticed the rat pants for the first time after seeing unplugged for oh at least the 100th time
Its like a rats jump suit!

That rat logo looks just like what was on his duds. Makes sense.
The rat logo is there. Perhaps I'm not following you here. It was just a guess on my part; it's possible that they had a different logo 17 years ago.
i think mandi is saying she doesn't like the hoodie.
You are correct. And yes, they are still using Rat Sound Systems.

Did you ever notice how drummers are always wearing T-shirts or clothes that promote companies that make instruments?
For example...Fender, Ludwig, Gibson, Sabian...ect ect ?
Do drummers not have any clothes of their own?
Should we be starting a "Coats for Drummers" type drive where we donate old clothing to various drummers in various bands so that they don't have to look like a bunch of Corporate Sponsered Whores everywhere they play?
