I posted this in the "old" pit too, but I'd like everyone/anyone's thoughts.
Dept. of Eagles made a lot of those year-end indie lists, and finished high. So I downloaded it and gave it a spin.
I'm sorry, but this is complete shit. I hear NOTHING redeeming and/or
interesting in the music. It had no direction - no song goes anywhere.Every song is an incoherent mish-mash of sounds.
So, can someone try to explain to me why this has such indie cred, beyond the fact that indie hipsters can latch on to crap just because some influential blogs say the should?
