ok, let's face it. renting a snowboard/boots/bindings everytime you go up to the mountain makes the already astronomical lift ticket price EXPENSIVE (kerchinngg).
simply put, i want my own! BUT I'M BROKE! I've been all over Craigslist but can't seem to find anything I like or can afford.
THEN... I found a beautiful Rossignol board on an American website and i REALLY REALLY want it. Not to mention, its UBER discounted on this site. Only they ship free to the USA and charge 60+ dollars to Canada, not to mention the plethora of brokage fee's that i'm going to have to pay FedEx and the exchange rate!
NOW... you'd think being someone who works for Canada Post i'd be able to come up with some ways of getting around this. But no.
Here are some ideas I have:
1) Find someone near the washington/BC boarder that I can have the board sent to and pick up sometime by car.
2) Find someone in the continental USA that will ship it to me via USPS and check off 'gift'
3) Find someone who wants to sell me a womens snowboard (142-144cm) in good condition and a decent price + shipping to BC
4) Give up and buy one here.
I know you all want this halfjap to be like a normal British Columbian and snowboard regularly... right?
So if you've got any ideas or a board to sell... lemme know
