I think the tour will start in Austraila this October. By the time the reissue Ten and then have a new album release, it will be fall. They should hit the states by the spring.
I have to agree that 09 will be pretty empty. Perhaps a small tour like Canada 2005 or the east coast 2008.
It's true that world tours seem to be every 3 years lately...But it just worked out that way. If you consider the progress (or lack of) of a new album, I think we'll be waiting until 2010. I guess there's no way of us knowing how much they've really done with a new album, but from what I can tell it's nowhere near completion.
I can't see a real tour until the new album is coming out, whenever that is. I think that they played some of the east coast to get back into the swing of things and to make a few bucks.
I'd be VERY curious to see if PJ goes the way of Radiohead and releases their album DL online. I know they said somewhere they were "watching carefully" how that all went.
I'd love to see a "pre-order the album and get it shipped and in-hand before you can buy it anywhere else", where you'd get the CD and Vinyl and maybe a small booklet with pics from the studio for like $45, to make people want the "real thing" versus just a download. This way maybe they make more money on the new album, and we get something cool and hopefully that will keep their tour ticket prices lower too.
ADD 5,200 to the post count you see, thank you.
