Today I received my free Dr. Pepper coupon because of the promo Dr. Pepper put on challenging Axl Rose to release Chinese Democracy by the end of 2008. As some of you may know, if they're any Guns-N-Roses fans on this board, Chinese Democracy was released on Nov. 23 and Dr. Pepper had to pay up. Just curious to know if anyone even knows or cares about what is going on with GNR and took advantage of Dr. Pepper's offer.

P.S. The Alblum does not suck and the new line-up rocks!!!
You'll see dragons after three or four.... I said YEAH!!!!!

Yeah I got in on that...

I'd say half the album is great, a quarter is aight, and a quarter is total garbage.
  • Absolutely right, Eduardo. The half that is great is *REALLY* great, though. The quarter that is garbage is SO BAD. Perfect assessment. "Better" might be in my top ten favorite songs of ALL TIME. I can't really honestly believe how much I like it. I hate myself for liking it so much.

I think the album is G-d awful, but I absolutely took Dr. Pepper up on their offer. I actually had to fight for it, too. Not only was the site impossible to navigate during the period you had to request the coupon, but when they tried to make nice a day or so later, and open it back up because of the issues, I STILL couldn't get through. So I wrote to them on the site, gave my info, and they sent me the coupon within a week or two. Got my soda last week. :D Not at all worth the trouble (not that I haven't ever had a Dr. Pepper), but there was a total principle to it!

I think the album is great. Sure, some songs aren't great but more than half, in my opinion are great. Unfortunately I hate Dr. Pepper so I won't be taking advantage of this offer. I wish it was Coke or something. :(

agreed. even though i bagged on it a month or so ago. after a few careful listens the middle portion of it is pretty solid. i hate the first few and last few.
