I've been watching alot of early band footage from 91 and 92 and i thought i would just throw this out for SANTOS. With the re-release of TEN and the celebration of the begining of the GREATEST band alive, why doesnt ten club release a GRUNGE clothing line?? You could have throw back flannels, cargo shorts, boots, and hats maybe?? I know the Ten Club would be able to come up with some cool vintage style clothing from the GRUNGE era! I'm sure people would buy them up in the GOODS section i know i would! Anyways its just a thought but i think its time to break out those old grunge flannels because as they say everything seems to come back around! :D

I would like to give you the benefit of doubt. Were you too young to have watched Hype when it came out? If you were I suggest you watch it now. You will then realize how inapropriate your suggestion is.

I believe the title Corduroy is from Ed's dismay that a department store was selling a corduroy jacket to look like Ed Ved, for $200, when Ed himself bought his in a thrift store for $8. I'd say that them selling "grunge" clothes would go against what they've complained about before.
ADD 5,200 to the post count you see, thank you. :)

If they decide to release a flannel, which I doubt, please make it thick and quilted!! ;)

you've missed my point though. With the re-release of TEN from the early 90's (which the first thing that pops up in your head is 90's era clothing and the immergence of the best style of music in decades) they should sell a replica Vedder flannel, Jeff Hats, or Mccready Cargos. I realize its not the 90's anymore but we are celebrating the Re-release of an important album and an important era of music where "grunge style" was the in thing! It was just a thought since they are incorporating items in the Ten re-issue from that era. ;)

god I hope this never happens.

how about they focus on getting MORE music/video out of the vault instead of designing overpriced clothing?

Actually, the CEO's and stockholders are the one's making the big bucks. But that's how business works, and always has. I made a lot less than $8 per hour working for Kmart. Was I mad at the CEO's? Nope. Did my job well, and it's a free world, I could have left at any point.

  • I can't help it, but I really feel that having a flannel w/a PJ patch on it is nothing like having a hoodie with the same. I am not sure why, but maybe it's because hoodies are always in fashion, and flannel really was (and I emphasize was) just a trend.

Could be. I was roughly paraphrasing something I remember from a while ago. Either way, Ed was not amused (or maybe he was!) that department stores were selling cheap practical clothing for a ton of money, trying to make money off of the "grunge look" as trendy.

Either way, splitting hairs, but I couldn't see PJ offering flannel shirts.

I think other traditional "pj" specific clothing like t-shirts, hoodies and hats are expected and such, but that's about it. But if pj had a flannel with a patch on the shoulder, I'd consider it. But not generic "grunge clothing" which we can all buy at a thrift store.

a flannel with a PJ patch on it is a cry for help

I'm glad the 10c decides what they should sell.... and doesn't listen to the nut jobs ;)
  • I think they should sell an exact replica of every outfit eddie wears at each show....It'd be just like the official bootlegs...you could listen to the show you were at, in ed's clothes!

PJ patches on everything, of course.

You must be a Republican and voted for bush both of his terms in office hahaha. I dont think its right that CEO's of big companies have seven figure salaries. They should put their bonuses and half their salaries back into the companys so that the business can thrive and give workers a much needed pay raise and better health insurance! You cant live in these times making $8.00 and raise a family? Look a Jim Sinegal the CEO of Costco he makes $300,000 a year and pays his employees a nice income with great benefits to sustain a living! I guess you think its right that the CEO of Exxon received a $400 million retirement package also??? It's too bad people have become soo GREEDY!!!! Lets HOPE for a better place to live in when Obama takes office!! :D
