I just thought I would pass this along, if you ever need to get your iPod repaired. I just had such a good experience with this company that I thought I would share. Here is their URL:

http://www.iresq.com/

My son's iPod had the dreaded white screen of death problem. The iPod plays, but you cannot see anything on the screen because it is just completely white. I followed all the recommended procedures, and I still could not get it to work. I contacted iResq. For $29.00 they send you a box via Fedex to ship the iPod to them overnight. They evaluate the iPod and contact you. You can either choose to repair it or have it sent back. The iPod is then sent back via overnight Fedex. I thought I was going to need a new screen, which would have been a $75 dollar repair. They told me the cable connecting the screen had just come loose and fixed it free of charge. So I sent them my broken iPod on Tuesday, had a working iPod back on Friday, all for $29.00.

You are welcome. I just thought I would pass the information along, because I was really pleased how good the service at this company was. I talked to several other iPod repair services, and these people seemed the best. Also, I am pissed at Apple. I took the iPod to an Apple store, and their only advice was to trade it in and receive a 10% discount on a new iPod. If I would have followed their advice, I would have traded in a perfectly good $300 iPod!

My nephew had a problem with his Ipod. He used this company also and was very happy with the results. I need to get mine fixed and will for sure get going on it. :)

You are quite welcome. I just think it is ridiculous that you spend $300 on a piece of equipment and be told by the company making them it is essentially like a disposable diaper. Once soiled, you have to get a new one. I just try to maximize my investment in these things.

I have an 80 gb ipod with over 13,000 songs on it. No videos though. My problem is is that the battery (after being fully charged) lasts only 2-2 1/2 hours of continuous playing. What can I do to alleviate this problem.

That sounds like the battery can no longer hold the charge and needs to be replaced. Sometimes if you let the battery completely drain and then charge it, you can restore its ability to hold a charge. Otherwise, contact the iResq and ask them how much a battery replacement will cost.
