Slow Playback of SHN/WAV Files

Well, I've downloaded some .shn files. I added them all to the playlist in Winamp to make sure they worked. No problems except that they sounded weird and slow.

I compared the elapsed time clock in winamp to my watch and it's actually going slow, only about 51 seconds of any of the files is played for every 1 minute of real time.

I haven't been messing with any of the settings and I just played the extracted wavs using windows media player and the very same thing happened.

Anyone know what can cause this or how I might solve it? Thanks.

EDIT: Even youtube videos are being slowed down so I assume the files are fine but some sound settings have been mixed up. Any help would be great.
