Permission to post attachments

How do I get permission to post attacments?

The little box "Posting Rules" says that I may not post attachments.
It's not a crime to free your mind.

    I guess that right has been reserved for mods and the sysadmin ...

    They are posting outside links TO pictures. They will NEVER enable attachments here.

    They have enough work as is.

    I feel like I have a lot of stupid questions, but how do I link to a picture? Can I only post a picture, if I aready have it on the Internet somewhere?

    Just copy and post the web ADDRESS of the actual photo.

    For example....

    http://www.geocities.com/ivan_jekic/dopefish.gif


    After you click the link notice the address in the ADDRESS bar is the same exact address I pasted above.
    Aloof, that's all.

    I don't have the picture on a web adress....so I guess I just have to drop the idea. But thanks for your help anyway :)

    Set up a free account at http://www.photobucket.com and upload your pics there. It automatically create links that you can copy and paste here.
