do you know a program that you can do this with for sprint phones? i have a samsung M500. i hate their outlandish rates for ringtones, it's like 2.50 for each one. when you can buy an entire song on iTunes for .99 it makes no sense to pay 2.50 for a 30-second ringtone.
check their site or amazon or whatever for a usb cable thats for your phone. most stores dont carry them. youll probably have to order it. they are around $20. then you just edit a song down to 30 seconds convert to mp3 then transfer to your phone. its very simple. im using the outro to in my tree right now. took me like 5 minutes to do everything.
what program do you use to edit the music? i think my phone came with a USB cable so i'm set on that end. thanks a lot, you've given me hope!
i use nero wav editor. im sure there are free ones out there too.
There are lots of free ones. That's what I use to chop my mp3s. Just google mp3 cutter or splitter. Thankfully Cingular isn't psycho about it. Verizon will let you add mp3s to your phone but you can't use them as ringtones. That's crap.

I like our socks. I hear we make a fine sock. I always say, You might not love our records, but I think you'll like our socks. - Stone

it's free and it supports most phones and carriers
you'll have to register for the site and register your phone. i've been on it for awhile and get no spam either in my email or in text messages
the only thing you need to do is upload the mp3 of the song you want to cut into a ringtone.
or you may have the option of downloading one thats already been cut, if it's not marked copyrighted.
you'll have to be able to acess the web from your phone to download the ringtone onto the phone if you have tmobile. ( i had to)
i'm not sure if thats the same for other carriers
Get it now, get enough, before its gone, let's everybody carry on, carry on....
