Dell inspiron laptop

..lately if noticed that about half of my screen has dulled right down..lost brightness..whats the prob/solution...anyone? thanx!
I plan to live forever.so far so good !

    Hmmm... my guess would be the screen is the problem. The solution, another screen, err, or another computer.

    called dell support like ya said..got an email back...and..
    basically.you'd need a degree in feckin quantum physics or something to understand it !!!!
    anyways...i'll give it a shot!

    press the purple/blueish Fn button along w/ the arrow up key at the same time a few time. and down for the dimmer.

    yep! tried the Fn& arrow key.....but still half the screen not as bright as it should be...am i looking at a hardware prob. here???

    thanx for the offer jennytree...managed to decipher the fucker! hah! run diagnostics...one time only boot adjust factoy setting brightness etc etc.
    still half moon effect on my comp! just emailed dell for more troubleshooting idea's.....hold on to that offer..might need ya yet! ROCK ON !! atha claith .

    i need a new lcd display....never rains but it fuckin' pours !!! £165 for mr. Dell.
