PS3 help.

i keep losing the picture when my PS3 is plugged in..i can get audio but no visual...it usually comes back to life after i disconnect the hdmi cable from the tv. anyone explain wht this happens and whats the cure..thanx

  • idk but i have HDMI cables hooked up to my tv and it works perfectly

    dont know exactly what this means but....shouldnt there be something like 1080p when connected with hdmi cable....mine reads something like 510p..HEEEEEEEEEEEELP !

  • Then it is either a video setting on your tv or PS3. I have a 360 so I can't say for sure. on the hd cable that goes into my 360 there's an little lever that makes it go from regular to HD. Maybe yours has something like that?

    Gotta change the video settings in the control panel in the PS3. Mine is set to 1080i. Does your TV support 1080p? Also, what type of branded HDMI cables did you get?

    As an aside, the brand of HDMI cable shouldn't matter. Expensive does not equal better. Don't go for that Monster cable BS.
