Stupidist iPod question EVER

okay. this is what i want: i created a couple of playlists on iTunes and i want them on my iPod now... i thought it would just do it automaticly when i update my iPod but it doesn't... HELP!

assuming you are using version 7 connect your ipod and click on the settings screen........click on the music tab and you will see what i mean....hopefully...fingers crossed....:)
